How to approach your teen about hotlines
When talking to your teen about using a hotline, approach the conversation with calm and understanding. Let them know that reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness, and that these resources are safe, confidential, and available anytime they need someone to listen. Avoid pressuring them. Gently share the numbers and encourage them to use them if they ever feel overwhelmed, stressed, or sad. Emphasize that you are there to support them, but it is okay for them to talk to someone else when they need to.
