How to approach your teen about hotlines

If your teen is struggling with drug use, let them know that asking for help is a brave and important step toward recovery. Explain that confidential hotlines, counselors, and treatment professionals are available to provide guidance, answer questions, and connect them with the support they need. Reassure your teen that you will be there to support them throughout the recovery process and that they do not have to face addiction alone.
