SUPPORT YOUR TEEN THROUGH THIS DARK TIME
Signs & Symptoms
Common signs and symptoms of binge eating disorder include eating unusually large amounts of food in a short period of time, feeling unable to control eating, eating very quickly, and continuing to eat even when not physically hungry. Teens may also eat alone out of embarrassment, hide or stash food, and feel guilty, ashamed, or distressed after binge eating. Unlike bulimia nervosa, binge eating episodes are not regularly followed by purging behaviors such as vomiting or excessive exercise.
