How to approach your teen about hotlines

If your teen is struggling with anxiety, start the conversation in a calm, private setting and let them know you are there to listen without judgment. Reassure them that anxiety is common and treatable, and explain that reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Let them know that counselors, therapists, and confidential hotlines are available to provide support, answer questions, and help them through difficult moments. Remind your teen that they do not have to face anxiety alone and that you will support them every step of the way.
