Signs & Symptoms
Common signs and symptoms of anorexia nervosa include significant weight loss, an intense fear of gaining weight, restricting food intake, skipping meals, and becoming preoccupied with calories, dieting, or body weight. Other signs may include excessive exercise, wearing baggy clothing to hide weight loss, fatigue, dizziness, feeling cold frequently, hair loss, dry skin, and withdrawal from friends or activities. Teens with anorexia may also become irritable, anxious, or have difficulty concentrating.
